Heritage Sarong - Pandana
I remember watching my grandmother come up from the beach when I was young. Slicking her bob back, tying a sarong over her bathing suit, and proceeding to make a fruit platter of papayas, grapefruits and grapes on a wooden plate, alongside fresh bread and coffee. I think that's when my love affair with sarongs began.
Years later, travelling, I found a vintage Hermès scarf and started tying it as a sarong. I was obsessed. And that's exactly where the Heritage Sarong was born.
A square shape. A luxurious silk-cotton blend, more elevated than a cotton sarong, more wearable than a silk scarf. The hem is hand-rolled and hand-stitched, completely done by hand, the traditional way you finish a silk scarf for stronger reinforcement.
One size. Six ways to wear it. My absolute must-have travel piece - it drapes beautifully, feels soft and breezy against the skin, and never compromises on fabulousness. The Pandana colour was inspired by times spent at Wategos Beach in Byron Bay, there is truly no where else like it.
Our mantra - live slow, live long - is printed down the side. A reminder of what this piece is really about. I was lucky enough to work with my aunty on the graphics, which makes it even more special to me.
